All necessary permit applications are available here and are listed below. Forms can be printed, completed and returned to City Hall by mail or fax. If you do not see a form you are looking for, please contact us at (319) 694-2695 M-F, 8:00 AM - NOON, and 1:00 PM-5:00 PM.

Any and all structures must be approved by the City council. Building permit applications are available at Brighton City Hall and require a minimum $20.00 processing fee.
*A minimum $20.00 fee will be returned if the council does not approve the submitted application.
All fences, like buildings, require a completed and approved application. There is no charge to acquire a fence permit. Please read the ordinance carefully before erecting any fence-like structure, and return all completed applications for approval to City Hall by mail, fax, or in person.
